Spring flooding: Hydro-Québec presents a webinar to Rigaud residents
Hydro-Québec invites Rigaud residents living in flood-prone areas to take part in a webinar on spring flood management, this Monday, March 18 at 7 pm.
Participants will be able to learn more about Hydro-Québec's flood management initiatives, as well as the preventive measures that residents can take. They will also be able to ask the experts any questions they may have.
The magnitude of spring flooding is always dependent on the weather, in particular on the snow and rainfall to come in the next few weeks, but also on the freezing and thawing factors that influence soil permeability and its capacity to retain water.
Ville de Rigaud provides its citizens with numerous planning tools in its section dedicated to flooding, including:
◾The interactive flood zone map
◾A presentation by civil security players (video)
◾A reminder of the responsibilities of landlords and tenants
◾The preparations required before, during and after a flood
◾Monitoring tools
◾Communication tools
