Vaudreuil-Dorion from March 19: "Écodécouvertes" spring lectures
The Ville de Vaudreuil-Dorion presents its "Écodécouvertes" series at the municipal Public Library this spring. On May 9, at 7 p.m., Apiculture urbaine, une si bonne idée? A speaker from Polliflora will give the presentation. In recent years, there has been a lot of talk about the decline of bees worldwide. But what's really going on? What's the situation in rural Quebec, and particularly in the cities? A critical reflection on urban beekeeping is presented, followed by a discussion on the causes of the decline and possible solutions to improve the situation.
On June 13, at 7 p.m., an Introduction à l'habitation durable will be on the agenda, with July Paquin, from Écohabitation. This conference will address the impact of housing on the environment, the principles of the ecological home (energy, resources, health), the particularities of the Quebec context and the influence of users on the building's footprint.
