Hudson prepares its traditional St. Patrick's Day parade
The Town of Hudson is gearing up for its traditional St. Patrick's Day Parade on Saturday, March 16, in the heart of its village core. Residents and non-residents alike are invited to join in the festivities from March 13 to 16.
During this period, local businesses celebrate with live music, product launches, comedy shows, and guest bartenders.
For the past 11 years, the St. Patrick's Day Parade has been a Hudson staple. This year, it will begin at 1 p.m. on Saturday, March 16, at Westwood Senior High School and head north along côte Saint-Charles Street before turning east on Main Street and continuing along Main Street to end at the Community Centre. Street closures and parking restrictions will be in effect.
Those wishing to attend the event should take this schedule into consideration, as vehicles will not have access to Main Street until the end of the parade:
- Côte St-Charles Street between Ridge Street and Main Street, from 10 a.m. to approximately 3 p.m;
- Main Street, between Côte St-Charles Street and Beach Street, from 12:30 p.m. to approximately 4 p.m;
From March 15 to 16, the scheduled closures are:
- The Community Centre parking lot, from Friday evening, March 15, until approximately 4 p.m. on March 16;
- Parking is very limited in the area between Main and Lakeview streets and along the detour;
Emergency services will have access to the street at all times. During the parade, access to MédiCentre will be via the following route: Lakeview, then north on Cedar and east on Main.
