New call for projects from the Community Development Fund
100,000 made available to Vaudreuil-Soulanges organizations and municipalities
In view of the enthusiasm generated by the Community Development Fund and its past successes, the MRC de Vaudreuil-Soulanges is launching a new call for projects. An envelope of $100,000 is available to organizations and municipalities in the region.
Projects submitted by municipalities and organizations must fall within the scope of the Vaudreuil-Soulanges MRC's Sustainable Social Development Policy (Politique de développement social durable - PDSD), and therefore propose initiatives to improve living conditions for citizens and the well-being of communities. Interested promoters will benefit from personalized support to stimulate their thinking and propose structuring initiatives that meet the needs of Vaudreuil-Soulanges communities.
The latest edition of the Community Development Fund, with an envelope of $100,000, supported eight projects by municipalities, community organizations and cooperatives, generating a total of over $258,307 in investments. This support measure is made possible by the Fonds régions et ruralité (FRR) - volet 2, from the Ministère des Affaires municipales et de l'Habitation.
"In the past, the Community Development Fund has contributed to the development of our region through the realization of diversified and inclusive projects that meet the needs of the population.Once again this year, we wish to support the municipalities and organizations of Vaudreuil-Soulanges through this funding opportunity aimed at improving the quality of the various living environments in the MRC," mentioned Patrick Bousez, Prefect of the MRC de Vaudreuil-Soulanges and Mayor of the municipality of Rivière-Beaudette.Important dates to remember
