Even if the snow is still covering the ground in Vaudreuil-Soulanges, it's already time to start thinking about vegetable gardening. With this in mind, the City of Vaudreuil-Dorion is inviting interested citizens to reserve their gardening space for the 2024 season by April 1. 

This environmental initiative is aimed at those who want to garden, but don't have the space to do so at home. The city is proposing four community gardens, located at the following sites: 

- Jardin des Abbesses (espace vert Pie-XII); 

- Jardin des Loisirs (Sainte-Trinité park); 

- Jardin Bourget (Îlot Bourget); 

- Jardin des Muguets (espace vert des Muguets); 

One of the aims of this project is to give residents in these areas who don't have the space to garden access to healthy food, teach them the basics of gardening and give them the opportunity to socialize. 

Gardening spaces are distributed randomly, with preference given to people who live nearby and have no space at home to garden.
