Two new victories for the Pionniers
Last Friday may have been a pedagogical day, but that didn't stop the Pionniers de Soulanges U14 and U18 from being active on the ice.
First, the U14s hosted Collège Reine-Marie de Montréal. In a game totally dominated by the Soulangeois, the team won by a score of 6-0. Isaac Martel (1B-1p), Xavier Masse (1B-1P), Mathéo Lalonde (1B-1P), Léo Lepage (0B-2P) and Jessy Léger (1B-1P) led the attack with two points each.
Meanwhile, goalkeeper Olivier Laroche was solid in front of the net. This latest victory gives Vincent Lemieux's team a 7-8 record with five games to go.
As for the U18s, they were playing their derby against École secondaire de la Cité-des-Jeunes de Vaudreuil. Despite a difficult start, the Soulangeoise team rolled up their sleeves to win 6-3.
Veteran Zachary Beaulieu stood out with four points (1B-3P). Derek Chartrand also put in an excellent performance, finishing the game with a hat-trick (3B-0P).
Once again this year, the U18s will be in the running for the Cup, with a record of 10-3-1.
