The 2024 Circuit Endurance will feature 6 running events in 2024. The first will be the Défi hivernal Vaudreuil-Dorion on February 25. "This year marks the 38th edition of the Endurance Circuit, and the 1st time the Défi hivernal has been held in Vaudreuil-Dorion", says Jean-Pierre Champagne, the event's organizer. He is President and General Manager of the Club de course à pied Les Vadrouilleurs from Vaudreuil-Dorion.

"In previous years, apart from the two years linked to the pandemic, there were between 500 and 1000 registrations for the Winter Challenge, which was not in Vaudreuil-Dorion at the time. So far, 500 people have registered for the 2024 edition, and there are still places available," says Champagne.

"Three medals will be awarded per category: gold, bronze and silver, as at the Olympic Games, and four winners of the 5 km - 10 km (2 women and 2 men) will receive $100 bursaries in addition to their medals," adds the dynamic organizer, who hosts 40 races a year, by his own admission.

Free admission for young Vaudreuil-Dorion residents

The Ville de Vaudreuil-Dorion covers the registration costs of all its young citizens aged 17 and under. To register, go to the City's Service des loisirs, Centre multisports André-Chagnon, 3093, boulevard de la Gare, Vaudreuil-Dorion.

Five other Circuit Endurance races (always on a Sunday):

Champion and vice-champion titles in each category will be awarded to those who complete a minimum of 4 races in 4 different events, among the 6 events on the 2024 Circuit Endurance calendar. Interested parties should contact Circuit Endurance for further information. Mr Champagne does not manage this component.

- Course et marche populaire de LaSalle: March 24

- Course Saint-Laurent: April 7

- La Grande vadrouille: September 15

- La Cross des couleurs: October 13

- Parc Lafontaine Classic: October 20

The total of the 4 best scores for the season will be used to establish the rankings, which is why it's a good idea to improve your scores by participating in more than 4 events. The best scores obtained will be added together to establish the final ranking.
