The Ministère des Transports et de la Mobilité durable wishes to inform the public that most of the mitigation measures put in place over the past few weeks will be maintained, due to the traffic configuration on the Île-aux-Tourtes bridge.

The Ministry is aware of the repercussions on traffic in the Vaudreuil-Soulanges area, particularly towards Montreal in the morning. In this context, the current free service remains in effect at the Hudson, Vaudreuil, Dorion, Pincourt and Île-Perrot train stations, as well as on the entire La Presqu'Île sector exo bus service, until further notice.

Users travelling from the five stations located outside Montreal will therefore continue to receive a free two-pass All ABC mode ticket for their train journey, including the necessary connections via the bus and metro networks and the REM. These tickets will now be distributed seven days a week, according to train schedules.

Validation of the free ticket issued to users is essential to avoid being fined. Thus, users must validate the first passage when they receive the ticket at the train station on the outbound journey, and then do the same with the second passage on the return journey.

From February 5: some measures cancelled

As of February 5, in view of the improvement in journey times in these sectors, free travel on STM lines 212 and 411 and the distribution of free tickets at Sainte-Anne-de-Bellevue and Baie-D'Urfé stations on train line 11 Vaudreuil-Hudson will cease.

Wherever possible, we recommend that employees and employers continue to give priority to telecommuting and public transit travel.

Tolls on Autoroute 30 will remain suspended until further notice, eastbound, between 5:30 a.m. and 9:30 a.m., Monday to Friday.

Reminder

A Facebook page and an X account (Twitter) are dedicated to the Île-aux-Tourtes bridge, and are available for information about the project to maintain and rebuild the current bridge.

The Île-aux-Tourtes bridge "maintenance and reconstruction project" web page lists the mitigation measures in effect.

Citizens can also contact the Ministry at Québec 511 Info Transports.
