Nearly 2,000 post-secondary students, members of Caisse Desjardins de Vaudreuil-Soulanges, applied for this year's contest, which awarded a total of $60,000.
Pauline Thauvette-Leroux, President of the Board of Directors, who was present at the Centre de services Saint-Zotique, spoke with each of the young people and reiterated how important it is for Desjardins to support student retention.
First Vice-President of the Caisse Board of Directors Hélène Therrien met the young bursary recipients at the Saint-Charles Service Centre, reminding them that this contest, along with other educational support initiatives such as the Mes finances mes choix and Desjardins jeunes au travail programs, are made possible by the 59,129 members who contribute a collective annual member dividend through the Community Development Fund dedicated to the Vaudreuil-Soulange community.
Caisse General Manager Sébastien Laliberté congratulated the bursary recipients and encouraged them to persevere and carve out a career that fulfills their aspirations.
