Île-aux-Tourtes bridge: do you think a class action suit would be justified?
For several weeks now, Internet users have been raising the idea of launching a class action against Quebec City for its management of the Île-aux-Tourtes bridge.
According to a lawyer consulted by Néomédia, the process may be worthwhile, but it remains arduous and with no guarantee of success. "In my opinion, there's a case to be made for the Île-aux-Tourtes bridge. It would obviously take experts to analyze the whole file, but there is indeed a case here that would justify a class action," said the lawyer specializing in municipal and administrative law.
