In support of the region's row worker
The UPA de Vaudreuil-Soulanges donates $4,500 to ACFA
On December 9, the Saint-Éloi festivities were held to celebrate the end of the agricultural season. Over 206 guests attended the harvest feast organized by members of the Syndicat de l'UPA de Vaudreuil-Soulanges. The Syndicat de l'UPA de Vaudreuil-Soulanges announced that it had raised $4,500 for the organization Au cœur des familles agricoles (ACFA).
The event took place at Cabane à sucre Marc Besner in Coteau-du-Lac, which welcomed its guests with a meal featuring local flavors. Thanks to the participation of members of the UPA de Vaudreuil-Soulanges, as well as the renewed generosity of sponsors, this sum will support the work of the region's row worker. The amount will be officially presented at an event in the coming weeks.
"We are very proud to have raised $4,500 for Au cœur des familles agricoles. The renewed generosity of local people, despite the difficult year we've had, shows that mental health is a subject close to their hearts. It's a priority for us to support this cause, which affects farm families in our region in one way or another," says Ange-Marie Delforge, President of the Syndicat de l'UPA de Vaudreuil-Soulanges.
About Au cœur des familles agricoles (ACFA)
ACFA's mission is to provide front-line psychosocial services to improve the well-being of farm families throughout Quebec.
