Freezing rain expected in the region from this Wednesday evening
The Vaudreuil-Soulanges region is the target of a weather alert issued by Environment Canada. According to the warning, freezing rain is expected to fall in our area this evening, with precipitation continuing until Thursday morning.

In all, between 5 and 10 mm of freezing rain are expected to settle on the ground, making surfaces icy and complicating Thursday morning rush hour. A second episode of freezing rain is expected on Friday.
Roads, streets, sidewalks and parking lots could become icy and slippery. Motorists will need to adapt their driving to the changing road conditions.
A freezing rain warning is issued when rain falls during sub-zero temperatures, resulting in icy accumulations.
