Gymini wins four medals in Magog

A total of four medals were won at the first Coupe Québec for N7 and N8 categories, held on January 13 and 14 at the Centre Sportif La Ruche in Magog.

In the 13-14 age category, Sonya Patten made her first appearance in this new category. Accomplishing new moves with confidence, she was rewarded with 1st place on vault.

For Sarah-Maude Fillion, despite a last-minute injury, perseverance and determination were the keys to success. Achieving her personal goal with the minichelli on beam, she took bronze on vault and 11th place overall.

In the 15+ category, Kaylie Moufrage impressed with her attitude throughout the competition. After a period without gymnastics due to injury, she celebrated her 8th place on the bar and the success of her suns for the first time.

Océane Malonga, with a magnificent routine on the bar, took the silver medal. Thanks to impeccable stress management, she finished in 6th place overall.

Vanessa Ochoa competing for the first time in the N7 category. Her floor routine earned her a score of 9.166 and second place for this apparatus. With admirable concentration throughout the competition, she also received 5th place on vault and 6th place on beam, finishing 8th overall.

With an exemplary performance, Danica Majchrowicz (13-14 years category) took a solid 8th place on beam. Her composure throughout the competition was inspiring, demonstrating a remarkable mastery of this demanding apparatus.

Despite a short preparation time, Cassiopée Woo Sun Cheong rose to the challenge. Her performance earned her 7th place on floor and 8th place on bars. 

Finally, Juliette Trudeau dazzled the entire competition with what can only be described as her best-ever performance in level 8. Her versatility was highlighted by a 7th-place finish on vault, a 5th-place finish on bars, and a magnificent 2nd-place finish on beam. All in all, she finished 5th overall.
