For the 5th consecutive year, several social economy projects have been submitted to the Bourses d'initiatives en entrepreneuriat collectif (BIEC) Montérégie. In Vaudreuil-Soulanges, three projects caught the attention of the jury and are now in the running to win a grant of up to $20,000.

The public is now invited to vote for their favorite project on the biec.quebec platform between now and January 28. These votes will add value to the project during the jury's evaluation.

The 2022 edition of the competition saw the Coopérative de solidarité du Suroît - CSUR win top honors for its Écolocal 3.0 market.

Selected projects

Hub Vaudreuil-Soulanges

The Hub offers a distinctive sales experience to promote local products, producers and processors on a regional scale. In addition to marketing, the Hub offers Vaudreuil-Soulanges producers temporary storage, local delivery and shared human resources.

Le Terrasse Café

Opening in 2023, the Terrasse Café is designed and operated entirely by dozens of highly committed volunteers, the entrepreneurs-citoyens. This collective project has quickly won the hearts of the people of Terrasse-Vaudreuil, Île Perrot and the surrounding area.

With its 1st year of experience behind it, Le Café aims to consolidate its offer and facilities to improve the customer experience and increase sales. It hopes to do this by improving its facilities to better serve its customers, and by developing the promotional aspect to reach a wider audience.

Converting a bus into an unusual lodging at Village des écluses

For next season, the Lock Village team hopes to launch the second phase of its unusual accommodation village project with the conversion of two school buses. This project will be carried out in collaboration with students in residence at the design school of the Université du Québec à Montréal, as part of an internship.
