January 9 to February 11
A knockout photo exhibition presented in L'Île-Perrot
From January 9 to February 11, the Guy-Godin library in L'Île-Perrot will host an exhibition by Vaudreuil-Soulanges-based Groupe Passion Photo (GPP), featuring a dozen local photographers.
The official inauguration will take place at 2 p.m. on January 14. Now in its third year, GPP is best known for having bequeathed over 1,600 photographs of Île Perrot to the Société d'histoire et de généalogie de l'île Perrot.
The event is divided into two parts. The first, entitled "On vous chante la pomme!", features 24 photographs illustrating apples through the seasons. The second, on a free theme, features 12 printed photos highlighting the work of these GPP photographers, who cultivate the art of capturing the moment and transforming ephemeral moments into works of art, whether in landscape, humanist, wildlife or portrait photography.
The exhibition is complemented by a continuous slide show, on screen, illustrating the region's magnificent orchards and the beautiful apples we love to bite into. To quote Félix Leclerc: "Every apple is a flower that has known love!"
Groupe Passion Photo is an association dedicated to creating a space for creativity through photography.
