NORAD
Follow Santa's journey in real time
Santa has been on the road distributing presents since early this morning. To save parents from having to answer the question " When will he be here? at least 100 times, the Canadian Region of the North American Aerospace Defense Command (NORAD) lets you follow Mr. Claus' journey live.
Via the noradsanta.org platform, children can see Santa's whereabouts in real time. To keep them waiting, they can also discover Santa's village at the North Pole through games and activities. They can even learn about certain traditions from around the world. A countdown timer is also displayed on the site.
"NORAD monitors everything that flies in and around North America. On December 24, we also have the special mission of tracking and escorting Santa Claus," says Major-General Eric Kenny, Commander of NORAD's Canadian Region. "Using the powerful radar of the North Warning System and satellite systems, we're able to see into the north better than ever, allowing us to track Santa more accurately and ensure his safe journey through North American airspace."
