Open or closed on December 25?

During the holiday season, and more specifically on December 25 and January 1, the vast majority of businesses will be closed to allow everyone to enjoy a little festivity. However, some establishments will remain open.

To make sure you're not caught unprepared, here's the list of businesses and services that will be open or closed on December 25.

Open

- Some pharmacies;

- Some convenience stores;

- Some restaurants;

- Gas Station

- Essential services: hospitals, police, fire department, ambulance, water treatment, etc.

Closed

- SAQ;

- SQDC;

- Most grocery stores;

- Ecocentres;

- Caisses and banks

For Boxing Day enthusiasts, stores will reopen at 1pm on December 26.

Public transport

The Vaudreuil-Hudson train line and bus service will operate according to normal schedules on weekends and holidays. Please note that travel is still free due to work on the Île-aux-Tourtes bridge.
