In-house survey
Is the speed reduction on the Île-aux-Tourtes bridge justified?
Starting this Monday, December 18, the speed limit on the Île-aux-Tourtes bridge will be lowered to 60 km/h. In the construction zone on the approaches to the bridge, where more than one lane is open, the speed limit will remain at 70 km/h.
To ensure compliance with the speed limit, surveillance will be stepped up on the bridge, notably with mobile photo radars. Signs installed on the approach to the bridge in each direction inform road users that this section of Highway 40 is subject to such surveillance.
