Vaudreuil-Dorion inaugurates the 4th edition of the Lumin'Art exhibition
On Thursday, December 7, the City of Vaudreuil-Dorion inaugurated the fourth edition of the Lumin'Art exhibition at Parc Le 405. Several dozen people gathered to discover the new artworks installed in the park.
Young members of the École primaire Sainte-Madeleine choir warmed up the guests as they sang Christmas songs in chorus.
Sixteen Vaudreuil-Dorion artists, along with students from 12 local school classes, were inspired by the theme of Rêverie to create the works now on display to the public. The Club photo Vaudreuil-Dorion has also joined the event, offering an original exhibition.
Until February 4, 2024, visitors are invited to follow a specially designed pathway to discover the new exhibition, but also to revisit works from the past three years, including the huge Christmas ornaments, lanterns and barrels.
Adding to the immersive experience is an enchanted forest featuring small dream doors, enough to fill young and old with wonder. The Caravane Mozaïk will be offering a luminous collective creation activity on two occasions, Saturday December 16 and Friday December 22, between 6 p.m. and 9 p.m.
"Along with the Courrier des lutins, Lumin'Art has become a must-attend event in the run-up to the holidays. Parc Le 405, with its immense trees, takes on a magical allure at dusk when everything lights up. I'd like to thank the artists and school groups who participate year after year, making it possible to offer citizens this grandiose art exhibition," says Chloé Marcil, head of the culture and community life division at the Ville de Vaudreuil-Dorion.
The following artists are taking part in the 2024 edition of Lumin'Art: Roxane Bilodeau, Lucie Bisson, Monica Brinkman, Diane Collet, Philippe Corriveau, Stéphan Daigle, Caroline Forget, Annouchka Gravel Galouchko, Raquel Maciel, Ginette Malouin, Tina Marais John McRae, Nathalie Plouffe, Deirdre Potash, Michel Sauvé and Véronic Sévigny. Classes from the Brind'Amour, Hymne-au-Printemps, Papillon-Bleu (Sainte-Trinité pavilion) and Cité-des-Jeunes schools also present their works.
The Lumin'Art exhibition runs at Parc Le 405 until February 4, 2024.
