Major changes to collection days starting in 2024

The awarding of a new contract will bring a number of changes to collection days in Vaudreuil-Dorion, starting in January 2024.

At the same time, the numerical naming of sectors has been revised to avoid confusion with districts. Sectors are now named by letters rather than numbers (1 becomes A, 2 becomes B and so on).

The changes to collection days are as follows:

Organic matter in winter

Organics will be collected every two weeks during the winter season (mid-November to mid-April each year). A significant drop in the amount of material collected during this period, combined with the delivery of larger format bins, has prompted the City to implement this new measure. Collection will resume on a weekly basis as of April 15.

It should be noted that, as green residues are now accepted as part of the organic materials collection program, only two green residue collections have been maintained in the spring and three in the fall.
