From 11pm on Sunday December 10, the Île-aux-Tourtes bridge will be completely closed to traffic until 5am on Monday December 11. Motorists attempting to use the bridge will be redirected to Highway 20. 

Under normal circumstances, since the beginning of December, only one lane per direction is available at all times on the road structure. Tonight, however, a complete closure will be in place to allow paving of the shoulder and roadway marking. The road will reopen a few hours later, just in time for the morning rush hour on Monday December 11. 

Still on Highway 40, between Senneville (Montreal Island) and Vaudreuil-Dorion, there will be a complete closure of Highway 40 West, between Exit 41 (Boulevard des Anciens-Combattants) and the Avenue Saint-Charles entrance.

In this case, the detour will be via exit 41 for boulevard des Anciens-Combattants, A-20 ouest and exit 29 for A-30 ouest / A-40 ouest.
