Vaudreuil-Soulanges residents travelling to the West Island or the metropolis this weekend will need to be patient. A number of roadblocks will be in place on December 9 and 10, and could lengthen the time spent in the car.
On the Île-aux-Tourtes bridge, where only one lane is available in each direction at all times for several weeks, the bridge is scheduled to close on Sunday, December 10 at 11pm. Work will be carried out overnight to asphalt the shoulder and mark the roadway. The road will reopen at 5 a.m. on Monday, December 11.
On Highway 40, between Senneville (Montreal Island) and Vaudreuil-Dorion, there will be a complete closure of Highway 40 West, between Exit 41 (Boulevard des Anciens-Combattants) and the Avenue Saint-Charles entrance.
In this case, the detour will be via exit 41 for boulevard des Anciens-Combattants, A-20 ouest and exit 29 for A-30 ouest / A-40 ouest.
