Vaudreuil-Dorion lecturer and writer Jiana Saad is offering the public the chance to buy her books on Amazon between now and February 28, 2024. All profits will be donated to the Alzheimer Suroît Society, as her mother suffers from this degenerative disease. The titles of the books published in 2020 and 2022 are Je suis Rima, analphabète, et j'écris mon livre (the story of her mother) and BAM, une ode à la connaissance de soi (Bouge, Aime, Mange).

According to Jiana, this is a great holiday gift to offer, and a cause close to the hearts of many people whose parents suffer from this disease, generally associated with aging.

Rima, Jiana's mother, still lives in Lebanon, in the family home, with her sister and one of her brothers. She is 87 years old. Fortunately, she still recognizes her children, says Jiana.

Jiana arrived in Quebec in 1988. She experienced the horrors of the war in Lebanon between Christians and Muslims in the 70s: killings, hangings, rapes, etc.

A former teacher, Jiana now works as a neuroscience coach and lecturer.

About her second book, she says "For a month, I immersed myself in a form of silence. I withdrew from social networks. And that was really beneficial, because if you stay stuck on your screens watching other people's lives, you forget to live your own. By isolating myself, I rediscovered what's essential. I've turned it into a method and now a book : The essential is B.A.M.: Move - Learn - Eat.

"Take care of your health, your morale and your stomach is essential. I want to encourage readers to implement healthy habits. For me, these are the ingredients of happiness", says the author.
