For professional artists and cultural workers and managers
Culture Montérégie launches its continuing education program for winter 2024
Culture Montérégie is launching the Winter 2024 session of its continuing education program. Aimed at Montérégie's professional artists and cultural workers and managers, this program enables them to better respond to the realities of the workplace, whether in terms of technological advances, their artistic approach or the improvement of some facet of their work.
Introduced over fifteen years ago, this program injects funds to support the Montérégie cultural milieu by subsidizing training up to 85%. The deadline to register for one of the 14 training courses on offer, or to apply for further training, is December 10.
Giving back to the community
There are many examples of cultural organizations and artists who have benefited from this program to strengthen the foundations of their organization or their professional careers. With them, an entire community benefits from a stimulating and dynamic cultural environment. Culture not only contributes to the quality of life of our citizens, it is also a powerful magnet for attracting new workers and their families. Culture also plays a key economic role, with 2019 figures showing $427 million in spinoffs in a single year.
New in this year's program
In addition to individual or group training, cultural managers can now apply for mentoring. This new feature will put managers in contact with a mentor who will support them individually through a transfer of knowledge and experience.
