Pionniers de Soulanges M15 get the better of École secondaire Massey-Vanier
Tuesday evening, November 14, at the Centre sportif Soulanges, the Pionniers de Soulanges M15 played their second game against École secondaire Massey-Vanier.
The game got off to a slow start, with neither team able to get on the scoreboard in the first period. Both goalkeepers prevailed until midway through the second period, when Edja Leduc opened the scoring with the help of Frédéric Masse.
The third period was all Pionniers as they scored five unanswered goals. First, Louka Maheux (1B-1P), Lukas Lalonde with his 9th of the season, Nathan Giroux Lacombe, Antoine Boulianne and finally Xavier Thauvette with his 6th of the season.
Defender Angélique Lauzon also played a solid defensive role and added two assists to her record. The Determination award went to Nathan Giroux, who stood out physically throughout the game. Player of the Match went, without question, to goalkeeper Daphnée Dupuy. She played a flawless game and earned her first shutout of the season.
The U15s' next game will be against Westwood High School in Saint-Lazare on Monday.
