Rigaud adopts a policy to improve safety on its streets
The municipal council of the Ville de Rigaud adopted a traffic calming policy at its regular meeting on October 10.
Interested parties can find it on the website by following this link: [https://www.ville.rigaud.qc.ca/.../politiques-et-reglements/].
The main objective of this policy is to implement measures to improve street safety, in particular by carrying out specific improvements on certain sections, says the Town. It also aims to collect data to evaluate the effectiveness of these measures.
Based on requests, interventions will be prioritized, taking into account criteria such as proximity to school zones and playgrounds, as well as the number of children per household in the area concerned. Citizens are invited to specify the problem precisely so that the administration can propose the most appropriate measures.
How to submit a request ?
1. Fill in the request form included in the traffic calming policy, and if necessary, the petition form.
2. Send the request by e-mail to [email protected] or drop it off at City Hall reception.
If you have any questions about the policy, please contact the Public Works Division reception desk by telephone at 450-451-4227, ext. 200, or by e-mail at [email protected].
