Rough morning on Vaudreuil-Soulanges roads

The Vaudreuil-Soulanges road network was the scene of numerous road accidents on Thursday morning, mainly due to the snowfall.

In Sainte-Justine-de-Newton, on route Cité-des-Jeunes, a vehicle collided with a semi-trailer, which ended up in the ditch. Authorities had to close Route Cité-des-Jeunes completely while the truck was towed away.

Another incident also occurred on Route 325 in Saint-Télesphore.

"There are several incidents this morning. We were called to Les Cèdres on chemin du Canal, Rigaud and Vaudreuil-Dorion, among others. Fortunately, they were mainly material collisions, and there were no injuries," confirms Sûreté du Québec spokesman Louis-Philippe Ruel.

Motorists are advised to adapt their driving to prevailing weather conditions. Snow and freezing rain could make the roads very slippery on Thursday. Road conditions could thus become difficult.
