Saint-Clet, Vaudreuil-sur-le-Lac and Saint-Polycarpe
Delay in brown bin delivery for three Vaudreuil-Soulanges municipalities
The MRC wishes to inform the citizens of Saint-Clet, Vaudreuil-sur-le-Lac and Saint-Polycarpe that a new 240-litre brown bin will be delivered to them by the holidays, to replace their current 45-litre bin.
This change will enable these municipalities to increase the amount of organic matter diverted from landfill. Green waste (autumn leaves, garden residues, small branches, etc.) will now be accepted in addition to food waste.
Distribution was originally scheduled to take place between November 6 and 17, but production delays have prompted the MRC to postpone it.
This new bin will be the only one accepted for organic waste collection in these municipalities from January 1, 2024. Until then, households must continue to use the 45-litre bin. These can be kept for personal use after this date.
It should be noted that this change will entail a modification in collection frequency, which will be once every two weeks from January until March 2024. However, collection days will remain the same. In addition, although the MRC will be responsible for the collection and transportation of organic materials for these municipalities as of January 1, citizens must continue to report collection problems or broken bins to their municipality.
The MRC invites residents of Saint-Clet, Vaudreuil-sur-le-Lac and Saint-Polycarpe to contact us if they have any questions about these changes. For a list of materials accepted and refused in the brown bin, visit tricycle-mrcvs.ca/composting/.
