Around 8 a.m. this morning, Highway 40 in Saint-Lazare was the scene of a collision between two vehicles at kilometer 22. The accident slowed traffic in the area.

Sûreté du Québec spokeswoman Valérie Beauchamp confirms that two vehicles were involved, one of which ended up on its roof as a result of the impact.

"The two occupants of the vehicles were taken to hospital with minor injuries that did not pose any threat to their lives. The slippery road surface could explain the accident, which caused a slowdown in the area", she concludes.

Saint-Lazare firefighters were also on hand to assist the motorists involved.
