The Municipalité des Coteaux urges citizens living in the northern sector of its territory to take simple precautionary measures to ensure reliable access to water during this period of cold weather. 

Cold weather (3 degrees Celsius and below) brings the threat of freezing to the temporary water supply network in the northern sector. Residents are therefore advised to leave a trickle of water running from indoor taps, day and night. This measure must be maintained until the residence is disconnected from the temporary network.

This may seem counter-intuitive, but it's actually an essential measure to prevent water inlets from freezing, says the locality. The constant movement of water prevents the formation of ice inside the pipes, which could lead to major inconveniences.
