Nathalie Clermont wants to return to the decision-making table
A former city councillor runs for re-election in Coteau-du-Lac
Although the nomination period doesn't open until Friday, November 3, we already know the identity of one of the candidates who will be running in the Coteau-du-Lac by-election scheduled for December. The candidate is former city councillor Nathalie Clermont, who is keen to return to the decision-making table.
With 8 years' experience at municipal level, she is determined to pursue her commitments and is seeking public support for a third term.
Academically, she holds a BAC in Cultural Animation as well as a graduate diploma in Management from HEC. Professionally, she has worked in the public, parapublic and social sectors. She currently holds the position of Community Development Coordinator for an NPO.
In her desire to see the city continue to evolve, she wants to work with the council, municipal employees and citizens to participate in strategic economic, social, cultural and community development decisions to ensure a vision for the future.
"As far as District 3 Elzéar-Deguire is concerned, one of my challenges will be the development, layout and revitalization of our village core. We'll need to stimulate the arrival of new merchants and professionals to diversify the local service offering. People who know me know how important my social involvement is to me.So, defending the interests and meeting the expectations of the population will be my priorities! My values remain the same: respect and listening, hard work and commitment to the citizens of Coteau-du-Lac," she concludes.
Should another candidate decide to enter the race, District 3 residents will have to go to the polls on Sunday, December 17, or on Sunday, December 10, for advance voting.
