From Monday, October 30 to November 10, the Ville de Rigaud will be proceeding with the cleaning of its aqueduct network. The operation is scheduled from Monday to Thursday, from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. 

This operation consists in increasing the speed of circulation by changing the direction of flow in underground pipes, in order to clean all the pipes in a given sector, thereby maintaining the quality of the drinking water distribution service. This activity does not affect the quality of the water, which can continue to be safely consumed. The aim is to eliminate deposits in pipes and maintain drinking water quality.

The operation may temporarily affect :

- Water clarity;

- Water pressure;

- Color (yellowish);

- Odour (chlorinated);

What to do in case of colored water:

It can happen that the water is less clear when the taps or washer are first used. To correct the situation, simply run the cold water from all taps for a few minutes until the water becomes colorless again.

It's a good idea to reduce water consumption during rinsing to prevent any inconvenience.
