To encourage its citizens to take concrete action to protect the environment and help reduce waste, the Municipality of Les Cèdres has set up a program to grant the purchase of zero-waste products.

Several products are eligible. For example

- Drying balls made of wool or plastic;

- Reusable fruit and vegetable bags for grocery shopping;

- Washable nursing pads;

- Reusable snack pouches. 

In addition, the purchase of a shredding blade for lawnmowers is part of this initiative.

Grasscycling consists in leaving grass clippings on the ground after mowing, thereby providing the soil with numerous nutrients, and reducing the quantity of residual materials produced and sent to landfill sites.
