Municipality to choose solution by end of 2023
Chemin du Fleuve aux Cèdres: three solutions to correct sagging roadway
In August 2022, the Municipality of Les Cèdres noted that a section of Chemin du Fleuve had subsided. Nearly fifteen months later, Néomédia takes stock of the situation with local general manager Jimmy Poulin.
"We awarded a mandate to the GHE firm for various expert appraisals, including drilling to determine the composition of the soil. Three solutions have been identified in the file, and their implementation will be quite costly. It is too early, for the moment, to say which one has been chosen. We also want to meet with the affected landowners before making a final decision," he explains.
A meeting between the three affected owners and the Municipality is scheduled for mid-November. The municipal council will then have to approve the chosen solution.
As a reminder, the Municipality has applied to the Ministère de la Sécurité publique for a subsidy to reduce the cost of the necessary corrective work.
