Patrick Bousez and Pierre Séguin keep their positions as prefect and substitute prefect
On Wednesday, October 25, the council of the MRC de Vaudreuil-Soulanges unanimously re-elected Patrick Bousez, mayor of Rivière-Beaudette, as prefect of the MRC de Vaudreuil-Soulanges.
The council also appointed Pierre Séguin, mayor of L'Île-Perrot, as deputy prefect of the MRC.
"It is a great honor and a privilege that my colleagues on the MRC Council have reaffirmed their confidence in me for a fourth term. As always, I will carry out this task with seriousness and as always, I will carry out this task seriously and energetically, in order to continue advancing our regional issues for the benefit of the citizens of the Vaudreuil-Soulanges region," said Patrick Bousez, Prefect of the MRC de Vaudreuil-Soulanges and Mayor of Rivière-Beaudette, upon his appointment.
For his part, Pierre Séguin reiterated his full support for the prefect in his second term as deputy prefect.
"We'll be keeping a close eye on regional issues, and I'm convinced that together we'll contribute to the development of Vaudreuil-Soulanges," he said.
Finally, the elected officials appointed the members of the MRC's administrative committee.
They are as follows:
- Patrick Bousez: mayor of Rivière-Beaudette and prefect
- Pierre Séguin: mayor of L'Île-Perrot and deputy prefect;
- Yvon Chiasson: mayor of Saint-Zotique,
- Danie Deschênes, mayor of Notre-Dame-de-l'Île-Perrot;
- Chloe Hutchison, mayor of Hudson;
- Geneviève Lachance, mayor of Saint-Lazare;
- François Pleau, mayor of Sainte-Marthe;
- Mario Tremblay, mayor of Vaudreuil-sur-le-Lac;
- Peter Zytynsky, mayor of Pointe-des-Cascades.
