On Wednesday, October 25, Patrick Bousez, Mayor of Rivière-Beaudette, was re-elected as Prefect of the MRC de Vaudreuil-Soulanges. This is his fourth term in this position.

The news was announced at the MRC council meeting held at the regional authority's offices on Wednesday, October 25.

The prefect and deputy prefect are the MRC's official representatives at official events.

The region's mayors have placed their trust in Pierre Séguin, mayor of L'Île-Perrot, to assist him in his duties. For him, it's a second mandate in this capacity.

In both cases, the two men were unopposed for their respective seats.
