A new director of financial resources at Cégep Gérald-Godin

Cégep Gérald-Godin General Manager Julie Pelletier is pleased to announce the appointment of Laura Rochford to the position of Director of Financial Resources.

Ms. Rochford's appointment was made official by the Cégep's Executive Committee on October 6, and she will take up her new duties on Monday, October 23. 

Ms. Rochford has been a chartered professional accountant for over thirty years. She has a wide range of high-level management experience, gained in private and not-for-profit companies, as well as in a high school. She has served as Senior Audit Manager, Chief Financial Officer, Vice President Finance, and then more broadly as head of administration, procurement, operations, information resources and human resources in some of the positions she has held.

"The rigorous selection process enabled the members of the Selection Committee to strongly recommend Ms. Rochford's appointment," said Ms. Pelletier. "The committee particularly recognized her sense of commitment, her dynamism, her interpersonal skills and her management approach based on collaboration and communication."

For her part, Ms. Rochford is delighted to have the opportunity to take up the challenge offered to her at the CEGEP francophone de l'Ouest-de-l'Île. "It is with integrity and dedication that I wish to develop for Cégep Gérald-Godin a vision of finance that is both strategic and operational in the interests of the community," says Ms. Rochford.
