Center d'action bénévole L'Actuel kicks off the 2023 edition of its Christmas Sponsorships. People interested in giving gifts can now fill out the online registration form.
 
Donors will be matched with a person, couple or family who uses L'Actuel's services. The organization suggests that donors act quickly to give their names.
 
"This way of helping and giving to people in need is very popular. Last year we were forced to close registration early, as we had too many donors for the number of possible matches," says Stéphanie Aubert, Head of Services at L'Actuel.
 
The Christmas sponsorships will remain confidential. Donors can choose to sponsor a family, a couple or a single person, depending on the size of the donation they wish to make.
 
"Donors often ask us how much they should put in. We like to leave it to their discretion, but we suggest a minimum of $75 per person," adds Ms. Aubert.
 
To help sponsors with their purchases, a general profile of the person or family will be provided. Donors will be able to choose gift cards, games, toys, baskets of products, small treats or outings that match the preferences of the users who will receive the gifts.
 
"The objective of this activity is always the same: to embellish the holiday season for people who have had a more difficult year. Christmas sponsorships are a joy for users, donors and L'Actuel employees alike," concludes Ms. Aubert.
