As part of Fire Prevention Week
Five barracks open their doors this Saturday
Fire Prevention Week is underway, under the theme "You're the first person to take responsibility". To mark the occasion, a number of open-house activities are planned for Saturday, October 14, at fire stations across the region.
At least five fire stations have already announced that they will be welcoming visitors, young and old, to discover their facilities and equipment and answer any questions they may have about fire safety.
In Saint-Lazare from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. (1800 avenue Bédard):
On the program
Smoke simulation trailer;
Photobooth with decor and combat gear;
Prevention booth (72-hour kit);
Safety rally (72-hour kits will be drawn among participants);
Tour of fire trucks;
Children's use of the hose;
Hot dog sale by UCMU (Unité Communautaire de Mesures d'Urgences);
And much more!
In Rigaud from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. (7, rue Jules-A.-Desjardins):
On the program
Prevention activities;
Chef Doudou in his kitchen;
Demonstration;
Combat suit trial;
Tour of the trucks (and the brand-new pumper-tanker!);
Tour of facilities and emergency room;
In case of rain, the open house will take place on Sunday, October 15, at the same time.
At Coteau-du-Lac from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. (283, route 338):
On the program
truck tour;
inflatable games;
demonstrations;

hot dogs & beverages.
Notre-Dame-de-l'Île-Perrot from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. (1301, boul. Don-Quichotte):

Discover the interior of the new fire station;

Demonstration of extrication maneuvers on crashed vehicles;
Face painting;
Inflatable games;
Activities to raise awareness of the importance of fire prevention.
On Île-Perrot from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. (110, boulevard Perrot):

Fire extinguisher handling on a live fire;
Games for children;
Tour of the fire station and trucks;
