Héma-Québec will be holding a blood drive at the Paul-Émile Lépine Community Center in L'Île-Perrot this Thursday afternoon, October 12. 

The event will run from 1pm to 7:30pm and aims to collect 90 donations. District 3 municipal councillor Gabrielle Labbé will act as deputy mayor and honorary president of the event. 

We recommend that you make an appointment to donate blood. However, if you are passing by a blood drive site and are available to donate, don't hesitate to check with the team on site to see if they can accommodate you.

Before giving blood

In the hours leading up to your blood donation, we recommend that you drink a minimum of 500 ml of water or juice and eat well, avoiding fatty foods. To make blood collection easier, wear loose-fitting clothing with sleeves that can be rolled up above the elbow.

You should also carry your donor card or proof of identity.
