Workshop on Saint-Zotique's future urban plan
This Tuesday, October 10, Ville de Saint-Zotique invites interested citizens to a workshop to discuss its future urban plan. This brainstorming exercise will take place at the Saint-Zotique Town Hall, 1250 rue Principale, at 7 p.m.
During the event, participants will be asked to give their opinions on a number of themes addressed in various discussion "round tables".
The aim of the meeting is to obtain the population's views on the proposed content of the new urban plan, and on the priority issues to be addressed in it.
Places are limited and reservations are not required.
What is an urban plan?
The urban plan is a planning document that establishes the guidelines for the city's spatial organization. Its content includes elements required by the Act respecting land use planning and development. The plan makes it possible to :
- Define intervention policies;
- Define a medium/long-term vision;
- Make known the intentions behind the control to be introduced to the regulations;
- Plan the location of various functions, infrastructures and facilities;
- Serve as a decision-making tool to guide land-use planning and development decisions.
