At around 8 p.m. this evening, an Exo bus arriving westbound on Highway 20 came to a stop and turned onto boulevard Perrot. At the same time, an SUV on Highway 20 East failed to give way, and the vehicles collided. 

In fact, the traffic lights at the corner of boulevard Perrot and autoroute 20 in Ville de L'Île-Perrot were defective this evening, with only flashing red lights (mandatory stop) were in operation at all four corners.

This is what Sûreté du Québec communications spokesman Stéphane Tremblay told us this evening.

The Sûreté du Québec and ambulance crews were on the scene. The driver of the SUV, who was the only occupant, was taken to hospital with minor injuries.

There were three passengers in the bus, as well as the driver, and no one was injured. Of course, traffic was disrupted for a while.
