The left lane of Autoroute 40 westbound is currently closed at kilometer 30 in Vaudreuil-Dorion. A Sûreté du Québec reconstructionist is on site to shed light on the causes and circumstances of an incident that occurred earlier this Thursday, October 5.

According to information obtained from Nancy Fournier of the Sûreté du Québec, a motorist driving on this stretch of road at around 11:45 this morning made an unsafe maneuver when attempting to head in the opposite direction.

"There was a collision with another car. The people involved suffered no apparent injuries and were not taken to hospital as a result of the incident. However, a reconstructionist is on the scene to try to shed some light on the accident, as a charge of dangerous driving could be laid against the driver at fault " says Nancy Fournier.
