It is now 100% responsive for those who consult it on a tablet or cell phone
A new website for Cégep Gérald-Godin
Cégep Gérald-Godin is proud to announce the official launch of its new website, created by the college's communications team in collaboration with the Web and software solutions firm Jolifish.
This improved version features new functionalities, exclusive content and a streamlined visual identity in line with the latest technological trends.
With the primary objective of offering clear, comprehensive and user-friendly information to its users, this redesign and optimization project was initiated in 2021 with the development of a new information architecture created by user experience expert DomUx. The result was an enhanced home page, a big-box menu and a more efficient distribution of content. Jolifish then took over to redesign and optimize the website.
The visual layouts were designed to reinforce the CEGEP's well-established brand image, and to give pride of place to photos of our lively, dynamic community. In fact, the new website is intended to reflect the Cégep's activities, achievements and values, in order to make them better known and promoted.
Accessibility
In the interests of accessibility, the new website is now 100% responsive, which means that users who consult it on their smartphone or tablet have as good an experience as if they were consulting it on their computer, which was not the case with the old website. What's more, the new site complies with the Web 2.0 content accessibility rules recommended by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C). Epicene editing of content has also been undertaken to give equal visibility to feminine and masculine designations in texts.
