A young diver from the region joins the Jeunes Espoirs team
Recently, Plongeon Québec unveiled the composition of its Jeunes espoirs team for the 2023-2024 season. This team is made up of 18 divers aged 12 and under, including Justine Archambault from the Club de plongeon de Vaudreuil-Dorion.
The constitution of this team is based on observations made during the last provincial competition season. Among other things, the selection committee's observations related to the athletes' physical skills, more specifically flexibility, coordination, strength and body shape, learning rhythm and mental strength. These criteria enabled the selection committee to make an informed choice.
The aim of the talent identification program is to maintain the interest and motivation of young people and their coaches in diving, and to enable them to develop their full potential in the sport. The formation of this team is the fruit of the talent identification project developed by the Quebec Diving Federation in 2013.
This project, which has proved its worth in recent years, will enable young people from all corners of the province with the fundamental physical skills required for diving to pursue their sporting development.
Congratulations to all!
The young divers selected for this team, along with their coaches, will have the privilege of receiving development workshops at a training camp to be held on November 4 and 5.
