Saint-Lazare announces the winners of its first ecological landscaping contest

Ville de Saint-Lazare announces the winners of its first ecological landscaping contest, held from June 15 to August 31. A few months ago, the municipality encouraged its residents to demonstrate their creativity and imagination by taking part in this eco-responsible initiative. 

The aim? To create ecological landscapes better adapted to natural conditions and requiring less water and maintenance in general. To achieve this, the city launched a contest that could earn participants a total value of $600 in prizes. 

The aim was to reduce the number of grassed areas and increase the number of vegetated areas that would benefit pollinators and biodiversity.

Prizes awarded to the winners were gift cards redeemable at local merchants. The winners are: 

- Brigitte Rioux: $200 in prizes; 

- Nancy Roy: $150 in prizes; 

- Véronique Brochu: $100 in prizes; 

Elizabeth Landry, Norm Szekely and Andrée-Anne Lavigne each win a $50 gift card drawn at random from the participants.
