Death of enamel artist Bernard Séguin Poirier
On the eve of the Journées de la culture 2023, the cultural community of Vaudreuil-Soulanges has lost one of its own. Internationally renowned enamel artist Bernard Séguin Poirier passed away last night. He is survived by his wife Suzanne and their five children.
A talented and renowned artist, Bernard Séguin Poirier was a proud citizen of Les Cèdres. Born in Montreal in 1949, he was 74 years old. Mr. Séguin Porier died suddenly in his sleep on the night of Thursday, September 28, as far as we were able to ascertain.
Throughout his life, the artist never hesitated to put his talent or fame at the service of various causes. A few years ago, he was honorary co-president of the Happening at the Maison de soins palliatifs de Vaudreuil-Soulanges.
The organization Le Phare enfants et familles was also very dear to his heart.
Generous and warm-hearted by nature, he never hesitated to open the doors of his studio residence and chapel to young and old alike who wished to let their creativity flow during one of his workshops.
