Friday, September 29 marked the opening of the 27th Journées de la culture in Quebec. Until Sunday, October 1 at 11:59 p.m., more than 2,600 activities of all kinds are planned across Quebec. Here's a list of the activities on offer in the Vaudreuil-Soulanges region.

The weekend's cultural events are organized by 1,100 different organizers, including municipalities, RCMs, artists' groups, community groups and other cultural organizations.

Here are the activities to be enjoyed in the region as part of this provincial cultural event:

Situated upstream from the Coteau-du-Lac rapids (St. Lawrence River), the L'Anse-aux-Bateaux archaeological site is a privileged and advantageous location that made it possible to establish a landing stage for ships as early as the beginning of the 19th century.

Following several decades of intense maritime and commercial activity, the occupation of the cove has left many traces. As a result, a large number of artifacts were brought to the surface by chance underwater discoveries. The current collection comprises 407 fragments grouped into three categories: ceramics, glass and metal.

Always seeking to reveal "the story behind the story", he has developed́ a unique expertise in the quest for and treatment of archives, particularly notable in the series J'ai la mémoire qui tourne, the documentary thriller Expo67 Mission Impossible and Jukebox: an American dream made in Quebec.In addition to being producer and director of distribution, Éric Ruel is also director and editor on the vast majority of La Ruelle Films' documentaries. Les MiniMalices family show

Where: Centre communautaire Saint-Lazare (1301 rue du Bois, Saint-Lazare,  J7T 3E6)

Once upon a time, there was a trunk, a clothesline, a few chairs, four actors and a touch of playful spirit.

Mother Goat has lost her young, Hansel, Gretel and their home. Bluebeard doesn't know how to keep a woman. Rose Latulipe wishes she could dance until midnight. Alexis the trotter hopes to beat the train at the race, and the lumberjacks at the Chasse-Galerie hope to get home. And let's not forget the rats, who can't get to the larder without passing the cat.

Au bout du conte revisits, with a minimum of artifice and a maximum of inventiveness, the stories that have lulled our childhoods, frightened our grandmothers and captivated the most tanned of our cousins. Four actors share the roles of these eight tales, ingeniously using everyday props to set the scene, differentiate the characters and guide the audience through these contrasting worlds. Because it's good to remember that you can do a lot with a little, and that just because you're small doesn't mean you can't be big!

When: Sunday, October 1, 1-3pm;
