The vernissage for the Un peu de toi dans le blizzard project will be held at the Musée régional de Vaudreuil-Soulanges with artists Céline Goudreau and Marie-Belle Ouellet: October 5 from 5 to 7 pm. The exhibition runs until November 2.

The two artists plunged into the vertigo of an inner storm during a period of mourning (the loss of their parents), in order to draw on the invisible force that unfolds at every turn.

They drew inspiration from the Gaspé winter seascapes and their mothers' handicrafts to create prints and poems.

In February 2023, Céline Goudreau and Marie-Belle Ouellet made a retreat to the Gaspé Peninsula (Métis-sur-Mer), where profound reflections were born thanks to :

readings on grief and resilience
the ephemeral nature of life
exploring fragility 
awakening our deepest feelings
discovering the river's winter secrets
to our lively discussions on death
to memories of the last breath 
These were the paths they travelled together, despite the blizzard. Following this artistic journey, many versions of poems and prints were created before arriving at the final result, which will be unveiled in October.

Their wish, in sharing these poetic and visual stories, is that every visitor can feel the soft light of a loved one who had to leave this world too soon, and can believe that they haven't disappeared completely.
