La Grande marche in Saint-Zotique on October 14

La Grande marche, supported by Le Grand défi Pierre Lavoie, is back across the province for its 9th edition. Saint-Zotique will be taking part on October 14.

Saint-Zotique is one of 106 cities and municipalities in Quebec to host the Grande marche, a hybrid formula that is both inclusive and unifying.

Walkers can either take the 5 km route set up by their municipality - a simple, free route accessible to all. Or walk from home, at their own pace and at a time of their choosing.

Whichever option is chosen, the public is invited to register on onmarche.com for a chance to win one of 50 Mammut Grand marcheur coats, and to feel the pulse of the event.

Saint-Zotique program on October 14

In Saint-Zotique, the start of La Grande marche is scheduled for 10 a.m. at the Town Hall (1250 Rue principale). Walkers are expected on site from 10 a.m. for entertainment and a 5 km autumn walk. Registration is free: visit onmarche.com.

As part of their partnership with the Grand défi, members of the Fédération des médecins omnipraticiens du Québec are giving their patients a prescription to encourage them to lead a more active lifestyle, in particular by taking part in La Grande marche.
